Terms of service
These terms are the agreement between you and TesterAgent, an online checker for websites and Android apps operated. You may only test websites and apps you own or are authorised to test. Paid plans are sold by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record and renew until you cancel.
1. Who we are and how you accept
TesterAgent (“we”, “us”) is run, an individual based in Vientiane, Laos (there is no company yet). Contact: [[OWNER: contact email (CONTACT_EMAIL)]] / the Contact page.
You accept these terms, together with our Acceptable Use Policy, when you tick the box at sign-up, or when you run a free check without an account. You must be at least 16 and able to make a binding contract. If you accept for an organisation, you confirm you may bind it; “you” then means that organisation.
2. The service
TesterAgent opens your web pages in an automated browser (desktop and a slow-4G phone profile), analyses Android app files and, on paid plans, runs your app on our test phone. Rule-based checks cover speed, UX/UI and accessibility, translations, functions, hosting and passive security; you get a report with suggested fixes in English and Lao. Details: How we test.
3. Your account
- Give a real email address, keep your password secret and tell us at once if you think someone else uses your account. You are responsible for activity in your account.
- One account per person or team. Do not create extra accounts to get more free checks or audits.
- You can download your data or delete your account at any time on the Account page.
4. Free check, plans and limits
- Free check without an account: one per visitor every 30 days (a website *or* an app), 3 pages, no security check; the report link works for 7 days. We recognise visitors by a one-way hash of their IP address.
- Free ($0): 1 website, 3 audits a month, up to 5 pages crawled per audit, APKs up to 150 MB.
- Pro ($19/month): 3 websites, 20 audits a month, up to 30 pages crawled per audit, APKs up to 500 MB, logged-in testing and test cases.
- Business ($49/month): 10 websites, 100 audits a month, up to 100 pages crawled per audit, APKs up to 1024 MB, logged-in testing and test cases, weekly audits.
- The monthly audit quota restarts on the 1st of each calendar month (UTC). An audit that fails, or that you stop before any check has finished, does not count.
- Limits are enforced automatically. Current plans and prices: Pricing.
5. Payment, renewal and price changes
- Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Lemon Squeezy, the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Lemon Squeezy handles payment, invoices, sales tax/VAT and payment-related customer service, and its own buyer terms apply to the purchase.
- Prices are in US dollars; tax may be added at checkout depending on your country. Some older subscriptions are billed through PayPal.
- Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
- Switching between Pro and Business, or monthly and yearly, changes the same subscription; the difference is prorated by the payment provider.
- If a renewal payment fails you keep your plan for 7 days while the payment is retried; after that the account moves to the Free plan (your data stays).
- Customers in Laos may pay in kip by BCEL One QR on request; we then switch the plan on by hand for the period paid.
- We announce price changes for existing subscriptions by email at least 30 days before they apply; you can cancel before then.
6. Cancellation and refunds
Cancel any time on the Billing page. You keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for and are not charged again. Refunds follow our Refund policy; a full refund ends the paid plan at once and cancels the subscription.
7. Your responsibilities
- Authorisation. Only add websites and upload apps that you own or that the owner has authorised you, in writing, to test. When you add a site you confirm this; we record the confirmation. Keep proof of the permission.
- Load and alerts. Our checks are real browser visits (up to your plan’s page limit per audit, plus test cases). If the site sits behind a firewall, bot protection or a monitored hosting plan, tell the people who run it first.
- Test accounts. For logged-in testing use a test account with test data, not an administrator account that can move real money or change real customer data.
- Staging vs production. Choose “Staging / test” only for a test environment you control. Never choose it for a live production site.
- Data on your sites. You are the controller of personal data shown on the pages and app screens we test; we process it for you (see the Data Processing Addendum).
- Follow the Acceptable Use Policy and the law.
8. How our automated testing behaves
- Production (default) — safe mode: we open pages, follow links and read what the browser shows. We never submit forms, pay, delete, log out, transfer money or change settings.
- Staging / test (only when you choose it): test cases may submit forms with made-up test data. Before a risky action (pay, delete, send, change account data) the audit pauses and asks you to Allow or Skip; no answer in time = skipped.
- Security checks are passive: headers, cookies, HTTPS, mixed content, and a request for a short list of well-known file paths (for example
/.git/HEADor/.env) to see whether they are exposed. No attack payloads, password guessing or load testing. - We refuse addresses that point to private or internal networks, and domains whose owner asked us not to test them.
9. Logged-in testing: the human checkpoint
When a test reaches the login, it pauses and shows you a live view of our test browser (or test phone). You log in yourself; what you type goes straight to that browser and is never logged or stored, so we never know your password or one-time codes. We wait up to 15 minutes (60 for weekly audits), then skip the logged-in part. The resulting session is used only for that audit and deleted when it ends. We remember the login steps (step names and page paths, never what you typed) to guide the next login; you can forget them on the site page.
10. Android apps
Upload only apps you own or may test. We analyse the file and delete it right after the analysis. On Pro and Business we can also install the app on our own test phone (an emulator), explore it and run test cases under the same safe-mode rules; the app and its data are deleted from the phone when the audit ends.
11. Reports are information, not a guarantee
Checks are automated. They can miss problems and can flag things that are fine. A report is not a security certification, a penetration test, a compliance or legal assessment, or a promise that your site or app works. You decide what to change, and you should re-test after changes.
12. Your content
You keep all rights to your sites, apps and reports. You give us the right to access, copy and process them only as needed to run the service for you. We do not sell your data and we never publish a report or use your site or app as an example without your written permission. Privacy details: Privacy policy.
13. Our software
TesterAgent and its software belong to us. You may share your reports (for example an agency with its client). Do not copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service or use it to build a competing product without our written agreement.
14. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep the service available but do not promise it is uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features; we tell paying customers in advance about changes that remove a paid feature.
15. Disclaimer
Except as these terms say, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
16. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, TesterAgent is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data or business interruption, and our total liability for all claims is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
17. Claims about unauthorised testing
If someone makes a claim against us because you tested a website or app without permission, or broke the Acceptable Use Policy, you will cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim.
18. Suspension and termination
- We may suspend checks, block a domain or close an account at once if you break these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, do not pay, or if the law or a credible complaint requires it. We tell you why unless the law or an investigation prevents it.
- You can stop at any time: cancel the subscription, then delete your account on the Account page.
- If we end a paid account without such a reason, we refund the unused part of the period you paid for.
- After termination your data is deleted as described in the Data retention policy.
19. Governing law and disputes
These terms Please contact us first; we try to solve any problem within 30 days. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country still apply.
20. Changes to these terms
This is version 2026-10-07. For important changes we email account holders and show a notice in the app at least 14 days before the new version applies, and ask you to accept it. If you do not agree, cancel and delete your account before then; continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new version. Minor fixes (typos, clarifications) apply when published.
