Check your APK before Google Play does
TesterAgent's APK check reads your Android app file without installing it and reports Google Play blockers and risks: target API level, 16 KB page alignment of native libraries, restricted permissions, debuggable or backup flags, cleartext traffic, exported components, debug or v1-only signatures, hard-coded keys (masked in the report), size and ABIs, and missing or broken translations, including Thai letters in Lao text. One check of an APK up to 150 MB is free without an account, and the file is deleted right after the check. It is a static check, not a virus scan, and it does not cover .aab bundles.
Website
We check 3 pages in a real browser: speed, UX/UI, translation, functions and hosting (no security scan without an account).
By running a check you agree to the Terms and the Acceptable Use Policy.
App (APK)
No account needed for one free check — a website or an app. The report link works for 7 days. Create a free account to keep every report. · See a sample report
What the APK check covers
| Check | Why Google Play cares | Typical severity |
|---|---|---|
| Target API level | New apps and updates must target the level Google Play currently requires | High |
| 16 KB page alignment of 64-bit native libraries | Required for apps targeting Android 15+ on 64-bit devices | High |
| Restricted permissions (SMS, call log, all files, background location…) | Need a declaration or get the app rejected | High |
| debuggable / allowBackup / cleartext traffic / exported components | Security and policy risks | High–Medium |
| Debug or v1-only signature | Play rejects debug-signed apps | High |
| Hard-coded keys and secrets (masked in the report) | Leaked keys can be abused | High |
| Size and ABIs | Large downloads lose installs on slow networks | Low |
| Translations: missing, untranslated, broken placeholders, Thai letters in Lao | Wrong text in your users’ language | Medium |
Run the app too (Pro and Business)
On Pro and Business we can also install the app on our own Android emulator (about 10–15 minutes): cold start, crash on launch, exploring the screens and generated app test cases. You log in yourself in a live view; we never tap pay, delete or log out.
What it does not cover
- .aab bundles and split APKs — build a universal APK and upload that.
- Malware or virus scanning — this is not an antivirus.
- Server APIs, obfuscated or encrypted code, and runtime behaviour in the free check.
Frequently asked questions
Is this an antivirus?
No. It is a static check of Google Play rules, security settings and translations, not a virus scan.
Do you keep the APK?
No. The file is deleted right after the check; only the report is kept.
Can I upload an .aab file?
Not yet. Build a universal APK and upload that.
What's the size limit?
150 MB for the free check and the Free plan, 500 MB on Pro and 1 GB on Business.
Does it run my app?
Only on Pro and Business, on our Android emulator. The free check reads the file only.
